Time with Thomas - in Eerde
It was quite an honor to be in Eerde again (near Tante Magda's house) where Ken's father was stationed during the war. For Thomas to see the repaired church steeple and the windmill renovation project (where half of it has stood as a silent reminder all these years) was an awesome thrill. Marijke took some shots of these deer and geese but they took off running when the boys arrived - and then we finished off our time in this quaint town with a picnic on the lawn.
Thomas pointed out this strange tree which is aptly called Monkey Puzzle. I wonder if it will grow near us in South Carolina - I think it might be a nice one for a little bear like me to climb!
AAH - Stroop Waffles and Raisin Bread.
