Just so you know, I am a traveling bear. This is a place where I can share text & pictures of the fun (and hopefully worthwhile) things I do with my unparents, Ken and Marijke.

I started this blog for the bear-loving friends in my church mostly since they were kind enough to send me on a mission trip to France. That was in 2006. Hopefully I'll get to go on other trips, too (like this most recent extended trip in 2009). But my main mission is to bear each blessed day with gratitude.

Number ELEVEN?


Speaking of Thomas' brothers, here's a small picture of himself with three of them. Todd was missing when this shot was taken. BUT, he's the star of this blog entry 'cause he and Schelyn are going to have a BABY in January!



Won't these two little siblings be excited! Number 3 for them and number 11 for Oma and Pops. Oh my! I think I'll be going into hiding sometimes - Teddy.

Congrats on your newest granddaughters - they're beautiful! Sounds like you're having a wonderful time over there, and Ken's art looks fabulous. We KRs missed you at Cheryl's lakehouse - have you heard the saga about Lynda's glasses that blew into the lake and our 2-3 hours spent in recovering them? Enjoy your final weeks over there and hurry home! Elaine

I miss you guys, too - and thought at first your meant Sheryl's glasses. Remember when she fell into the lake that other time and the glasses stayed on her head? Can't wait to hear all about everything that's gone one since we've been gone! - M
